Hello, I’m Melissa Humber an artist living in the Hebrides.

I was born in East Yorkshire but grew up in various other places. I have been dedicated to creating art since childhood. In 2011 I established a creative life for myself by selling my paintings & artisan clothing designs online. Before relocating to Mull in 2021 I lived in Northumberland where I achieved my degree in Fine art.

Every day, I thank my lucky stars for the wildness of Mull. The surreal landscapes provide endless inspiration for recent sea and landscape paintings featured on this website. I also share informal notes forming a folkloric travelogue infused with time spent exploring and researching the loreology of Scotland and the North East.
